Terms of service
Last updated 22 October 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and The Prism when you use the platform at theprismai.com, including the app. They include our Privacy policy and our Refunds and cancellation policy.
Who we are
The Prism is an AI-powered football scouting and analytics platform. You can reach us at mo@theprismai.com.
Your account
- You need to be 13 or over to create an account, and 18 or over, or to have a parent's or guardian's permission, to buy a plan.
- Your account is for you alone. You sign in through your email or your Google account, so keep those secure, and tell us straight away if you think someone else has used your account.
- Use an email address you can receive mail at. We use it to sign you in and to write to you about your account and plan.
What The Prism provides
Football data, rankings and analysis for the leagues we cover, and answers to your questions from The Prism, our AI.
The data comes from third-party providers and match feeds. We work to keep it accurate and up to date, but figures can be late, incomplete or wrong. Our rankings follow our own method and are not a statement of fact about any player or club.
We improve the platform over time and may add, change or remove features. We will tell you before removing anything that is a main part of a plan you pay for.
Answers from The Prism
Answers are written by an AI model from our data, and they can contain mistakes. Check anything that matters before you rely on it.
Nothing on The Prism is professional, financial or betting advice.
Plans and payment
- The Free plan costs nothing. Plus and Pro are paid plans, billed monthly or yearly in advance, at the prices on our plans page. Prices include VAT.
- Payments are taken by Stripe, our payment provider. We never see or store your card details.
- A paid plan renews automatically at the end of each month or year until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from Your account, under Manage billing. You keep your plan until the end of the period you have paid for, and you are not charged again.
- The founding member offer charges your first year of Plus at the founding price. The plan then renews at the full yearly price unless you cancel before the renewal date.
- If we change the price of your plan, we will email you at least 30 days before the new price applies to you, and you can cancel before it does.
- If a payment fails, Stripe will try again. If it keeps failing, your plan ends and your account moves to the Free plan.
- Payments are not refunded, except as set out in our Refunds and cancellation policy.
Questions and fair use
Each plan includes a number of questions to The Prism a week or a month, and a daily limit that keeps the service running well for everyone. Browsing the data never uses a question, and an answer that did not need our live data does not count towards your allowance.
You must not:
- use automated tools to access The Prism, or copy its data in bulk
- resell or republish our data, rankings or answers, or use them to build a competing product
- share your account with anyone else
- try to get around a limit, or interfere with the platform's security or operation
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these rules.
Your content and ours
The platform, its rankings, essays, design and software belong to The Prism or to the people who license them to us. You may use what you see for yourself, and share a screenshot or a figure now and then with credit to The Prism, but you may not copy it in bulk or use it commercially without our permission.
Your questions, and what you build, such as saved indexes, stay yours. You allow us to store and process them to run The Prism for you and to check and improve its answers.
Ending your account
You can stop using The Prism at any time. To delete your account and the information in it, email mo@theprismai.com.
We may suspend or close your account if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms. If we close a paid account for any other reason, we will refund the unused part of your plan.
Our responsibility to you
If we break these terms, we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result. We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable, or for decisions you make based on the data or answers.
If you use The Prism for a business, we are not responsible for any loss of profit, business or opportunity, and our total responsibility to you is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit, and nothing in them affects your legal rights as a consumer.
We aim to keep The Prism available and working, but we cannot promise it will always be available or free of errors.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change matters to you, we will tell you by email or in the app before it takes effect. If you do not agree, you can cancel your plan and stop using The Prism.
The law that applies
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring a claim in your local courts.
